Frequently Asked Questions
What are your fees?
Individual session (50 minutes): $225
Group (75 minutes): $75
I offer sliding scale for those who are eligible. I have limited sliding scale spots available. Please contact me to discuss further.
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, I do not directly bill any insurance plans. I can, however, provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.
Most PPO plans offer some type of Out of Network reimbursement.
Here are some questions to ask your insurance provider to find out about mental health coverage:
Do I have mental/behavioral health coverage?
If so, what will be covered for an out-of-network provider? (They will likely give you a percentage per session)
How many sessions will be covered per calendar year?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
What is the easiest way to submit for reimbursement?
How long does therapy last?
This depends on what you are looking for when you come to therapy. Some cognitive approaches are able to treat behavioral issues within a shorter period of time. I practice Depth therapy which is more geared toward getting to the root of your challenges, and this takes time. I generally see clients for multiple years, as building a close, trusting relationship is a top priority in my work. I rarely see clients for less than 1 year.
How do I decide if it’s the right time for therapy?
I suggest you set up a free consultation so we can briefly discuss what is making you curious about therapy, and what is holding you back from beginning therapy.
